From the M6
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 (the South Lakes turn off). On joining the roundabout take the first exit towards Kendal. Follow the dual carriageway which bypasses Kendal and comes out at a major roundabout. At this roundabout take the first exit signposted towards the car ferry, Bowness, the B5284 (Crook Road).

Follow the Crook Road for 7 miles, ignoring all side turnings. It eventually comes to a T junction onto the A5074. Turn left and follow the A5074 road for a short distance until you reach the national speed limit signs. *Approximately 200 yards later you will see the Ryebeck Hotel on your right. Look for the next right turning after the hotel, a road named Middle Entrance Drive. Turn into Middle Entrance Drive and immediately on your right is the Coach House. Enter the metal gates and park in the car park.

From Ambleside
Starting off at Lake Road (A591), carry on following the road for nearly 4 miles. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A592 the Rayrigg Road, sign posted Newby Bridge and follow the road for less than a mile until you reach the second roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A592 and then turn almost immediately left opposite Costa and St Martin’s church onto the A5074 (Kendal Road). Follow the road for a mile and then directions from the asterisk above.
